The Sitar Niqab with flap with clips from Umm Hafsa is practical , lightweight and extra long.

Why clips ?

The snap fastener clips on the side ensure that the veil is held securely. Once closed, they form a cape-like shape and prevent the sitar/niqab from blowing up in the wind.

Why a flap ?

The flap has the advantage of hiding the eyes while leaving the field of vision to the front free. The flap also encourages you to lower your gaze slightly , as the field of vision is smaller than with a classic sitar.

The niqab consists of three light , opaque and comfortable veils, which, depending on how they are worn, form either a niqab or a sitar:

1st The first veil : This long veil is worn at the back.

2nd The second veil : This slightly shorter veil has an opening for the eyes, which allows it to be worn as a niqab. There is a cord between the eyes that ensures a secure hold and prevents the veil from slipping.

3. The third veil : This can be worn at the back to leave the niqab open, or pulled forward to form a sitar and cover the entire face.

The sitar is 1.60 m long and is equipped with a grille and a string between the eyes. There is no cardboard reinforcement strip.
